TIME: President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are launching a public awareness and education campaign aimed at preventing sexual violence on college campuses.
The campaign, called “It’s On Us,” will be aimed at changing the culture by inspiring every person on a college campus to take action, big or small, to prevent sexual assault.

#like here is what is great about this post let me tell you #it is that grey’s anatomy is ostensibly a show about sexy doctors being inappropriately sexy all over the hospital #AND YET #its most central most important most fundamental relationship #over the course of a thus far almost DECADE-LONG run #has arguably been #THIS FRIENDSHIP!!!! #BETWEEN TWO COMPLEX BRILLIANT WONDERFUL WOMEN!!!! #who want different things out of life and are almost universally supportive of each other as they pursue their various goals! #who help each other to be the best versions of themselves! #who care about each other to a degree that completely blows out of the water the ridiculous idea that platonic love is in any way lesser than romantic love! #like can i just #’you’re my person’ #????? #!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lately i’ve seen people feeling badly about themselves. posting things against themselves, their skills, their beauty, and worst of all, their worth. it’s painful
and it’s something that, i think, at one point we’re all guilty of. i know that we all have something against us. disorders, family, friends, lovers, work, school, or otherwise. it’s the truth of the world, in the end.
we’re going to face a lot of bad things, and they’re gonna seem louder than the good ones. we’re gonna struggle to remember why we’re trying in the first place. but you have to remember, everyone felt that way at one time. usually more than that. it can get better, it will get better. we just have to hang on together in order to see the sunrise.
you stay here with me, okay? and if you’re struggling to stay, come back to this post: an official masterlist of things from games to spoken word poetry that help to calm me down, and often, make me have hope. i hope it helps you as much as it helps me.
